School Outreach: Wangpah

Hi everyone! Salutations from Thailand! We’ve been having a phenomenal time so far. We’re all so sad that this wonderful missions trip is slowly coming to an end, but we have made such amazing, unforgettable memories here. Today we were wheels up bright and early at 5:30am! We had breakfast and worshipped with our amazing Thai ZOE leadership students, followed by a great devotional by our one and only Dave Cox! We then drove about an hour to the second school we have visited on this trip to spread the word of Jesus, teach about child trafficking prevention, and truly enjoy making unforgettable memories with these children; for them and us. After leaving the school, we drove two hours to our final hotel on the trip! Our hotel is wonderful, and we’re so excited to be staying here for the last leg of our journey. We checked in and departed straight to the Night Bazaar (night market). The Night Bazaar was so cool! There was also a McDonald’s there, which some of the pickier eaters (me) definitely enjoyed! After having a great time, we came back to the hotel for a night of well-deserved rest!

The children we have interacted with have shown us so much kindness on this trip. Despite experiencing a great deal of hardship in their lives, these children were the most energetic, happy, and thankful kids in the world. They had such an impact on me and showed me that I should be so thankful for everything. Many children gave their hearts to Jesus after just a few hours of us preaching and hanging out with them, showing them who Jesus is and the wonders He can work.

I thank God for all the hearts He’s moved and lives He’s changed on this mission. All the salvations, miracles, etc., were done by Jesus through us, and I’ve seen how many lives He changed and entered in just a few days. I thank God for the closer relationships built between our short-term missionaries on this trip and the connection we have. Lastly, I thank God for allowing us to be here and to be His servants on this trip.

Thanks for reading our blog! Just a few days left!

Signing out, Talia Melkonian
