Today we had the privilege of doing ministry at a school in Doi Chiang, Thailand. From the moment we stepped off the bus, we were met with incredible joy as all the kids swarmed us for hugs and high fives.
Then we transitioned into a time for songs and skits, which were beyond powerful. The Rocky Peak team was introduced, and we sang “This Little Light of Mine” for all the kids, teaching them the dance moves and doing them alongside them. In the morning we lead the kids in language learning activities, and in the afternoon our team hosted several fun games, like “Cups” in Thai, a giant snowball fight, and other outdoor field games. I got to be a part of the “Everything” skit, which was so powerful. After that, the ZLT met with the kids in small groups to present the gospel. Watching them learn about the gospel was an experience I will forever be grateful for.
The most impactful part for me personally was being able to participate in covering over 500 kids in prayer as they learned about the gospel. I was overcome with joy, and my heart went out to all the kids in the room. The ZLT (Zoe Leadership Training students) were so passionate about sharing the truth with all of them. I read Psalm 31 over the room and felt deeply that these kids are the next generation of impactful Christians in Thailand, sparking a wildfire for Jesus everywhere they go.
I’m so thankful for these kids and the joy they bring to the table. They have deeply encouraged me to continue to find the joy of the Lord even in hard situations.
