Hello family and friends from Doi Chang, Thailand!
Up until this point, we have been in Chiang Mai, spending our days at ZOE and simply having the sweetest of times! Today, however, marks a switch in gears regarding where we are and what we will be doing for the next two days! We started the day bright and early at 6:30 AM to pack up, eat, check out of our hotel, and then hit the road to head into Northern Thailand with ZLT and staff for a village outreach! It was about a three-hour drive, but to say we took the scenic route would be an understatement! The drive was absolutely breathtaking! We made two stops along the way, the second one being a sheep farm with the most spectacular view of the mountains! We finally got to the village, had lunch, and went to the local church to pair off with ZLT members and head out to do hut-to-hut evangelism! This was such an incredible experience, and our main role was to support the ZOE team members and cover them and their conversations with people in prayer, as well as invite them to the outreach later that night at the church! God did amazing things throughout the village through us and ZLT, and it was such a blessing to play a small part in it! Once we wrapped that up, we recharged with some dinner and then headed straight back to the church for the outreach!
I think I speak for the team as a whole when I say that the outreach that took place at the church was one of the most impactful and powerful experiences! We got to worship with them, share testimonies, ZLT performed a powerful skit, and then we got to spend time at the end praying for whoever wanted it! And let me tell you, these people were hungry for Jesus and for prayer! We saw Jesus move hearts and minds and touch their lives, and I’m convinced He drew more hearts closer to His! They were so thankful to us for coming and said they had been praying for one year for missionaries or someone to come, and we were a direct answer to that prayer! God is just so good and works in such awesome ways!
I am incredibly thankful for everyone I got to meet, interact with, and talk to in this village. These people have blown me away by how welcoming and quick to love they are! Even though we are here serving them in hopes of being a blessing, I don’t think they realize just how much of a blessing they have been to me and the team! So I’m beyond grateful that as we are here pouring out, Jesus is pouring back in just as much through different ways, people, and experiences! Thank you all for your continued prayer coverage; it truly is powerful and miraculous! Please continue to pray for overall health and strength for us all as we are going to be hitting the ground running these next few days! That’s all for today, so until tomorrow!
