Worshiping with the ZOE Family

As we started day two, we got off to an early start with some one-on-one time with God, followed by breakfast and morning worship. We headed for the ZOE center and were welcomed by the ZOE Leadership Training team with big smiles and cheering. Knowing that this team was so excited and happy that we were here filled me with more joy than I could imagine. We were given a two-hour tour of the ZOE campus where Les, a staff member at ZOE, shared more of the heart of ZOE. Throughout this tour, we were able to see many cool things like their self-sustaining farms, dining area, gym, swimming pool, and even a pig pen. ZOE holds strong in the idea that we are called to be servants, and because of this, they try to provide enough crops and food for surrounding child rescue centers. Without constant prayer and Jesus at the center of all this, none of this would be possible. A lot of the things they do here at ZOE are done intentionally to ensure that the kids don’t lose their heritage as they stay at this campus. As the tour ended, we headed back to our hotels to wash up and relax a little bit before going back to ZOE to have dinner and attend a worship/testimony night with all of the ZOE family.

This worship night was like something I’d never seen before. The moment we walked in, all of the kids and adults were cheering as loud as they could and were so excited to see us. As we were worshipping, I just couldn’t stop smiling because of the number of people around me who were just filled with the joy of the Lord. Everyone was singing at the top of their lungs and dancing around with such great love for the Lord. It was all so encouraging to see, and my heart felt so full at the end of the night. The real bond that all of these kids at ZOE have with each other and with God is inspiring to see. Although some of the kids at ZOE have been through things we can’t even begin to imagine, they can still be so joyful, and it’s really humbling knowing that even with the things they’ve been through and the little they have, none of that matters because they have God by their side. Even from such a young age, these kids are on fire for the Lord, and thinking back, I keep smiling. Students from both ZOE and our team shared such powerful testimonies and stories I’ll never forget.

As I’m writing this for all the parents and supporters, I will be forever grateful for the support you’ve given me financially and prayerfully, and this trip would not have been possible without you. Being in Thailand with a group of people who have such big hearts for Jesus has really been life-changing. Being here and being able to spread awareness about child trafficking is something I’ve been looking forward to since I heard about this trip. Possibly being the reason even one kid is safe from child trafficking is something I can’t wait to do. As we head into the next couple of days, I want to ask for your continued prayer and that you’d pray that we are able to minister to many kids and adults who’ve never heard of Jesus, or even those who maybe have heard but never really followed. Thank you, and I can’t wait to share what God does on this trip when we return.

P.S. As we shared yesterday, we aren’t able to share any photos from within the ZOE grounds. We will hopefully have more to share as we go on outreach in the next few days!
