We made it!

After a full 24 hours of travel, including a 13-hour flight to Taipei and another 3-hour flight to Chiang Mai, we’ve arrived in Thailand! Several people from the ZOE team received us at the airport, equipped with a handmade welcome sign. Our first day was focused on settling into our hotel and getting an orientation from the ZOE leaders about logistics, cultural differences we needed to be aware of, and ZOE’s child protection policy. We’ve had two meals so far on the ground, and everyone agrees that real Thai food is better than airplane Thai food!

Before going to bed, we gathered again to talk through the plan for tomorrow, pray for each other, and worship God together (led by River and Anthony!). Everyone was pretty wiped out by the time 7 p.m. hit, so we went to bed as quickly as possible. Hoping to be well-rested and prepared for our first big day tomorrow!
